So What? Girls Can’t Take Jokes Now Either?

“Gretchen Carlson walked off the set of "Fox and Friends" on Thursday after fellow host Brian Kilmeade made a sexist comment.

The two were watching third host Steve Doocy interview a member of a Navy band which had been all-male until 1980.

“Women are everywhere," Kilmeade said. "We’re letting them play golf and tennis now. It’s out of control.”

With that, Carlson was out of her seat.

"You know what?" she said, walking away. "You know what? You read the headlines, since men are so great. Go ahead."

"Finally!" Kilmeade said, adding, "leaving an all-male crew."

"In all your glory, go for it!" Carlson said. As she departed, Kilmeade cracked, "eh, she needed a shower."”-(Credit: HuffPost )

So now not only can women not make jokes but they can’t take them either? And people wonder why I’m voting to end women’s suffrage. Before all you girls out there start flipping out and calling me a sexist pig, that was a joke. It’s not even on the ballot this year. Yet anyway. Listen if you can’t laugh at yourself who can you laugh at? It’s just a classic case of a double standard. It’s okay for women to point out things about guys but not okay for it to happen the other way around. Like one day Kilmeade probably had a lot to eat and Carlson said something like “typical man eating a lot!” so how did he retort? By saying what everyone is already thinking: Women shouldn’t have rights! It’s funny because it’s true! We let them have fun. We let them play sports. We let them have careers. It’s cute. All kidding aside, I’m just glad no one I know is like this. If she walked off of her job because of that joke I don’t know what she would do if she ever heard any of mine. I’ve been known to pull a classic “Quiet sweetheart, men are talking” when a girl we know approaches me and my buddies. Or the always classic “Oh you dropped women’s studies? Did you realize that women aren’t important enough to have their own studies?” or “What do you mean I’m a stalker? I just follow you around campus because we have a similar schedule…that I purposely made to follow you around campus….typical female!” I’m always busting out those gut busting gender jokes. Does that mean I don’t respect females? No it doesn’t. Well I mean I don’t respect females but it has nothing to do with my jokes. Obviously.  Happy Friday everyone!
P.S. For someone who works for such a joke of a news station you would think she would be able to take a joke.
P.P.S. How can I mention girls who can't take jokes without giving a shout out to my girl Arlene P. over at Livelinks?! Holla!
